Terry Tuinder is no stranger to helping people experience victory in their relationship with Jesus. Having worked together with him in Cleansing Stream Ministries for nearly 20 years, Terry has shown himself to be of enormous value in coming alongside those who are in need of healing and encouragement. In this he has been consistent and wise. To know Terry Tuinder is to experience victory.
I have known Terry Tuinder as a friend and ministry colleague for more than 35 years and am so privileged to have watched him serve the church over these years as a passionate and effective leader. He is seasoned in all the right ways…his experience in bringing the freedom of Christ to people with all types of bondages is widely appreciated and respected. His teaching ministry is undergirded by a passion to be a lifelong learner, and the sacrifices he has made to further his own education makes his teaching ministry not just fruitful in the church that he pastors, but widely effective in the body of Christ at large. I am absolutely sure that my friend, Terry Tuinder and this new website, will prove to be a great resource for anyone needing “more” of Jesus, the healing, freedom, and growth that is available in drawing closer to him.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in May of 1979 and my life was changed forever
When I came to the Lord I was full of anger and insecurity. It didn’t take much for me to explode in rage. It always seemed I was angry at something. I think I was just angry at life.
Guilt and shame consumed me. I constantly berated myself for even the smallest infraction. It seems I could never measure up. I felt worthless and and totally unworthy.
I wanted to be accepted and that drove me toward perfectionism. I became a workaholic and sought to make myself indispensable in order to feel accepted and valued. I was constantly striving and never arriving at the place I wanted to be.
You may be thinking, “Wow! You’re a mess. Why should I listen to what you have to say?”
The Lord has changed my life
When I accepted the Lord, God began the lifelong process of changing me into the image of Christ. Jesus is healing me one step at a time. I no longer bear the weight of false guilt. Jesus cleansed me from the feelings of shame and worthlessness. He delivered me from the rage that boiled within my soul.
One of my favorite Scriptures is Philippians 1:6, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” I am excited that God has more healing and deliverance in store for my life. It’s part of the journey of walking with Jesus.
The Lord has called me to help others
God has called me to help others grow in their relationship with Him. There are three main areas He wants me to focus on: strong biblical teaching, training leaders, and deliverance.
I’ve been a pastor for 31+ years, have an earned Doctor of Ministry degree from The King’s University, have been involved in deliverance ministry for 20 years, and am an online professor and course designer.
I am here to invite you to join me on a journey. It’s a journey of discovering the ways of the Lord. It’s a journey of growing in God and Experiencing His Victory on an ongoing basis. It’s a journey that might just change your life forever.
